Nike just released a new short film on Kobe Bryant narrated by Kendrick Lamar
It comes on what would have been the late basketball legend’s 42nd birthday.
On January 26 2020, the world lost Kobe Bryant. Though the former basketball star and pop culture icon left a legacy behind that would continue to inspire even after his passing.
To celebrate his life Nike has created ‘Mamba Week’ in his honour.
On their website they’ve said, “Kobe built the Mamba Mentality on the values of Passion, Focus, Honesty, Fearless, and Optimism. He dedicated himself to inspiring the next generation to be better by applying these values to their own lives. This week we continue that legacy. ”
“Kobe taught us to be better. A better scorer, better mentor, better father, better champion. Today, on his birthday, we continue his endless pursuit of better.”
To kick off the celebration of his life, Nike have delivered a one minute 30 second video narrated by Kendrick Lamar.
