Our picks for music you should cop from Bandcamp today

Bandcamp have waived their share of revenue for sales on records for 24 hours today to support artists and we picked some of our favourites you can cop.

Artists and labels like many have been hit hard by the pandemic. Touring is off the cards for the foreseeable and most of their revenue streams are drying up quickly. On March 20 Bandcamp made the decision to give artists all of the profits from music sold for 24 hours. It was welcome move from the online store and the music community responded by spending a huge $4.3million on music and merch. That’s 15 times the normal amount spent on the site on a Friday!

With the positive response and continuation of the pandemic’s negative effects, Bandcamp have decided to waive their revenue share for all sales on Bandcamp from midnight to midnight PDT on the first Friday of each month for the next three months.

With this in mind we’ve curated a list of our favourite records, new and old that you should pick up to help support artists in this time of need.
