Póg open their new cafe in Malahide tomorrow

By Emily Mullen

9am sharp

No joke, but Póg are opening their new cafe in Malahide on April Fool’s Day. This seaside premises will be the fourth Póg cafe, joining the ranks of their Bachelors Walk, Tara Street, and Howth locations. The cafe situated on the town’s Main Street will open its doors at 9am tomorrow.

The vegan-friendly business took over from In Love Cafe who closed on March 22 due to “personal family reasons”.

The team at Póg seems to have things under control, writing on their Instagram that they were just “waiting on our outdoor sign and then its food prep time”.

“We cannot wait to get to know the lovely Malahide community and start dishing out some top quality flat whites and grub,” they added.

Describing the premises as a “little gem” representatives from Póg expressed their surprise at expanding their business in a pandemic but admitted that “we must look for the opportunity in adversity”.
