Video games are no longer the secret of socially awkward teens or the hobby of choice for the stereotypes projected in 40-Year-Old Virgin. Thanks to the pandemic video games are now a bigger industry than films and the North American sports industry combined, with COVID-19 expected to have helped global gaming sales rise 20% to nearly $180 billion in 2020.

Fashion houses have been ahead of the curve in recent years and in 2019 we saw League of Legends team up with Louis Vuitton and just last year, we saw Marc Jacobs collaborate with Animal Crossing.

Having captivated people across the globe and set crowds on local parks in search of Pokéstops, Pokémon GO has remained fairly omnipresent in the app store since. Now, Gucci and The North Face are joining forces to bring their latest collaboration to the augmented reality of the phone application.

The collaboration includes a selection of t-shirts, hats and backpacks from The North Face x Gucci Collection that will be available for user’s avatars to wear. They can be found at over 100 PokéStops around the world.

The collection landed late last year year and consists of a number of windbreakers, jumpsuits, fleeces and host of accessories.

You can find a list of the Pokéstops on the Pokémon Go website.
