Rare paintings & drawings by Kurt Cobain have emerged for the first time

It’s well documented that Kurt Cobain wasn’t content with music as his only musical outlet.

 

Much like his lyrics, his visual art was bleak, but often tongue in cheek.

From today until Sunday, the Seattle Art Fair will exhibit original pieces by the late icon. It was announced back in June that many pieces in the exhibition have never been seen before.

‘Incesticide’

For fans of his work, it gives yet another fascinating insight into his brilliant, yet troubled mind. It also “tells a gritty story of youth culture in the 1990s”.
