Say hello to Cool Hand, Kilmainham’s new coffee roasters

Named after the iconic 1967 film Cool Hand Luke, a new coffee roaster has popped up on a busy corner of Kilmainham.

The spot that’s a former dry cleaner that operates as a coffee shop, a micro-roasters and a coffee bean seller, the team have said, “whenever you buy our coffee to use it at home we can grind it for you for the exact brew method you will use. We will also give you cuppa joe on the house so you won’t rush home to try what we jus ground”.

The team make their roast using a Black Eagle coffee machine, Mythos grinders and an EK43 grinder “to brew outstanding, delicious coffee”.

The team are also big fans of dogs in their shop, writing “We love dogs. Dogs love us too. You can bring them in, we have no problem with it. Because we love dogs. Did we mentioned this already?”.

There’s plenty of seating along the side of the building, Cool Hand is open from 7.00-18.00 Monday to Saturday and 8.00-18.00 on Sundays.
