Skripteh throws down the gauntlet on new mixtape ’21’

Words: Dylan Murphy

It’s Skripteh season.

New Ross rapper Skripteh has shared a new surprise mixtape to celebrate his 21st birthday. Having shared the video for ‘6 Years’ last week on Mixtape Madness, he earned co-signs from the likes of Ardee and simultaneously signposted the start of a busy year.

Production on 21 comes entirely from New Machine, with the mixtape featuring contributions from up-and-comer Armor and Yxnsimba while Maverick Sabre, Dubzeno and Klashnekoff all make cameos on skits. Spanning 15 tracks, it’s the Wexford spitter’s most ambitious project to date and marks a deliberate evolution from an artist whose discography was largely made up of singles.

For busy heads looking for new inclusions on their playlists spin ‘21′, ‘Tupac’, ‘Punctual’ and ‘Gratitude’ first.
