Sooth your soul with Don Conroy’s ‘Music To Paint to’ playlist

Our nostalgia senses are tingling.

Iconic Irish TV personality and painter Don Conroy, who featured on RTE’s The Den kids show in the 80’s and 90’s, is making a virtual comeback with a brand new playlist on Spotify.

Due to popular demand, Ireland’s first ‘at home’ art teacher has launched his very own YouTube channel ‘Draw with Don’ as a way to reconnect to people online. But that’s not all! He has also revealed that he’s got a cathartic new playlist available on Spotify named ‘Music To Paint To‘.

Filled to the brim with nostalgic numbers from Ireland and beyond, Don is doing his bit to ease any underlying anxiety in the world.

On the playlist he said, ‘’For me, music is the most accessible of the arts, touching the higher emotions, so it made sense to create a music playlist that could be enjoyed alongside drawing, painting and being creative.”

“The songs I chose were inspired by my love for music and spoken art, such as poetry, and it was quite a task to select just 40 songs from my universal taste. Whilst I don’t have a favourite song in particular, I love the artists who I’ve been able to enjoy live and form a more personal connection with their music. I hope that after painting with me on YouTube and listening to the playlist on Spotify, the public will be able to form that same connection with the content I am putting out there.’’

Don also mentioned that the audience reaction to his recent digital activity has been extremely positive, and hopes the new form of content will help pave the way for a new, creative generation to emerge.
