On 17 September, Dublin is getting a new setting for a DJ set for one night only. Flux Studios is being transformed to celebrate the new CUPRA Raval, with Tara Kumar set to headline.
Flux is a space that serves Dublin’s creative community at a time when similar institutions are closing their doors. In addition, we’re always looking for leftfield spaces to experience some nightlife. CUPRA has already hosted some of the biggest selectors, putting on homecoming shows for DJs. We’ve seen Nathy Peluso in Spain, Lancey Foux in the UK, Kim Petras in Berlin, and now it’s Ireland’s turn.
From 19:30 to 21:30, Tara Kumar will be behind the decks, with the opportunity to hear her set from the belly of the Raval. In the back seat is the selector, whilst you’re invited to sit in the front and immerse yourself in the set. POV cameras will capture the experience, with the footage displayed on a screen outside the car. There’ll be a free drink and some food for those who come for the experience too.
With over a decade of DJ pedigree behind her, Tara has been a mainstay on BBC Radio 1, as well as recently curating music for CLASH Magazine. Her Klub Kumar series has won hearts across venues in London and Dublin, elevating her to become one of the most feel-good DJs to come out of Ireland.
The event is walk-in, so you can see Flux Studios for free. See you there.
