Taza opens second restaurant in Raheny

Words: Ellen Kenny

Pakistani and Middle Eastern restaurant Taza is opening a second Dublin 5 restaurant in Raheny to match its Artane location.

Authentic Pakistani and Eastern cuisine restaurant Taza is opening its second restaurant today. The Artane-based restaurant is sticking to its Dublin 5 roots and opening a new location in Raheny.

Known for being a slice of city centre dining in the suburbs of the northside, the Pakistani restaurant has seen a lot of success since its 2019 opening, having recently won the Tripadvisor Traveller’s Choice Award.

Taza, which means fresh in Urdu, is a partnership between chef Arshad Ansari, who spent 16 years with Kinara Kitchen, and publican Padraig Connellan, who bought The Roundabout pub four years ago.

The restaurant is known for blending Irish sensibilites with Middle Eastern tastes, with meals like the Molly Malone masala. Living up to its name, Taza offers rich flavours and a wide selection of Pakistani dishes.
