The Positive Space is filling Dublin’s empty walls with photography from leading image makers

Including images from the likes of Ellius Grace, B+, Rich Gilligan and more.

Due to COVID-19 most of the poster sites across the capital lay bare. It’s a reminder of how much we are losing in terms of culture with no gigs, club nights, theatre shows and films being shown in cinemas.

Inspired to turn the lack of shared cultural experiences into something positive, consultant Anthony Remedy, stylist Corina Gaffey and photographer Naomi Gaffey initiated The Positive Space.

The Positive Space is a city-wide exhibition across the capital that will breath life into the currently dead space that exists across the city. Ireland’s leading image makers have submitted an image that inspires them with the goal of galvanising the city.

It’s providing a way for people to reconnect with the city and art in person, rather than through a screen.

The photographers lined up so far are:

The Positive Space aims to bring some joy to people’s lives amongst all this, as well as promoting Irish creatives.

In order to bring the exhibition to the city The Positive Space needs to raise a total of €10,000. This will cover the printing and postering costs.
