The Story of Hip Hop is coming to Longitude

The Story of Hip Hop is coming to Longitude featuring Mo K, The RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra and performances from some of Dublin’s strongest players in the scene including Mango, Jafaris, Erica Cody and Melina Malone.

The Story of Hip Hop debuted at Electric Picnic last year taking a 14,000 strong audience through the history of rap, featuring tunes from Dr Dre, Eminem, Amerie, Missy Elliot and all your favourite tunes which you can catch on the RTÉ player here.

The show chronicles hip hop from its genesis in New York right up to contemporary records of today. Every track played by the orchestra, Mo K and the vocalists visits a distinct and significant part in the history of the genre’s development commercially and artistically
