Tomike releases intimate new single ‘Whisper’

It’s a poignant effort from the Dublin singer.

Having performed for Hilary Clinton in her visit to Dublin in 2012, Dublin-based neo-soul artist Tomike has been honing her sound ever since Pulling inspiration from the likes of Amy Winehouse and Erykah Badu the rising artist has further refined her approach in her latest single ‘Whisper’.

The groovy and emotive cut vocalises her conflictions as someone seeking freedom in a patriarchal society whilst also being a self-confessed introvert.

Speaking on the new single, Tomike said,  “The creative process behind whisper was very organic, the inspiration to write this song came from a place of frustration, combined with a desire to feel free. I wanted to write a song that translated my emotions in the most honest and freeing way, I also felt like a lot of women would be able to relate to that. I recorded Whisper myself in my bedroom during lockdown.”
