Uly is reversing the damage in ‘that’s no way to fly’

Words: Dylan Murphy

The andfriends Records head honcho has returned with a stunning new video.

In the past two years, Uly has routinely shared a flurry of meditative and vulnerable cuts that have bolstered his reputation as one of the capital’s most compelling songwriters.

Not one to waste his words, Uly’s trademark ambling delivery is a deliberate attempt to reinforce the emotions strung throughout his work. Prior to the release of his if you were a day, you’d be a sunday (songs to go walking to) he shared ‘that’s no way to fly’.

Exactly one year on from the release of the single Uly has shared a compelling video for the track.

Shot and produced by Collective Films, it sees Uly shave his head and smoke a cigarette with the footage gracefully reversing for just over three minutes.
