Video Premiere: Curtisy, Lil Skag & owin Drop ‘Talk Of The Town’

Words: Rachel Hannon

As Curtisy’s Instagram bio says, “it’s over for rappers.” He has teamed up with Lil Skag and owin for their latest track and music video, ‘Talk Of The Town’, and we have the world exclusive premiere right here on District Music.

Fresh off a UK & Ireland run that proved why Dazed crowned him, “Ireland’s best rapper,” this isn’t the trio’s first link up. Their soulful drill rap on stage has been bubbling in live sets for a while now. But it was far from Wexford or Jobstown where this video was filmed. Shot between Brighton’s seafront and London town, with snippets of Dublin, the video drifts between arcades and concrete backdrops, that captures their natural rapport. You can feel their camaraderie through the screen.

Like the artists themselves, the music video is sharp, self-aware, and unfiltered. With references to Tracey Beaker, The Sims, and even Spiderman himself, it’s restless, chaotic, and somehow chill at the same time. Another deadly work from the brilliant Cian Bolger.

Watch the video below ahead of its official release tomorrow.
