Curtisy has officially stepped into a new chapter with the release of his latest video, arriving alongside the announcement of his forthcoming collaborative album GET A LIFE with producer owin. The album is due to come out on March 20, 2026, following his debut WHAT WAS THE QUESTION and the hikii-produced mixtape Beauty In The Beast.

This Jobstown rapper has gone from underground favourite to one of Ireland’s most vital new voices over the past few years. Curtisy’s music lives in a space between sharp wit and quiet melancholy, and light and dark.
This duality runs through the album, from it’s collaborations, to the child-like artwork by Aaron Fahy, which encapsulates themes of curiosity, growth, and vulnerability. As Curtisy continues to blur the lines between rap, drill, hip-hop and soul, this glimpse of his next project feels like an artist fully trusting his creativity.

The music video for ‘My Friends’ directed by Cian Bolger sees Curtisty rapping straight to camera while his mates chat, play pool and soccer, with cans of Rí Rá Irish Lager in hand. The colourful grading of these scenes are juxtaposed with Emily Beattie’s gorgeous vocal outro, which unfolds a glitchy black and white forest sequence. The two halves of the video mirror the songs emotional lyrics in lines like, “I’m friends with the violence, enemy is truth. I’m friends with the lightening, I’m friends with the moon. My friends f**king left me, I’m always in a mood. Enemy’s with progress, I’m enemies with me.”

The official music video for ‘My Friends’ drops tomorrow, but you can watch it first here as part of our exclusive District Music premiere.
