vi0let’s glitchy wonderland has arrived on her latest music video released today, ‘I DON’T WANNA FISH.’
Dressed like a goth mermaid in morning, vi0let lounges in a vet’s waiting room cradling a lifeless fish. Not your average pop visual. But then again, vi0let isn’t your average musician. With the release of her newest single ‘I DON’T WANNA FISH,’ the Irish-German artist is throwing the whole dating pool back into the ocean. This synth soak track swims between hyperpop cheek and tender heartbreak, blending sarcastic lyricism with ethereal, glitchy production that feels both online and emotionally raw. It’s a breakup anthem for those using dating apps, where digital disillusionment meets real-life vulnerability.
A self-proclaimed “very online kid,” vi0let grew up bounding between the south coast of Ireland and Germany. Her sound and aesthetic are as fluid as her upbringing. With maximalist street fashion, glitchcore, and y2k futurism, her manifesto is loud, vulnerable, and current.
Forget “plenty of fish,” vi0let is done fishing. She’s inviting us to dive into stranger, more honest waters. That said, we’ll happily fish for whatever she releases next.
