Culture Night is upon us for the people craving cultural sustenance, and on this most sacred of Culture Weekend’s, Dublin has delivered!

There’s spoken word, live hip hop, launching in a Georgian House on South William Street, Earth Rising Festival in IMMA and even a mystery screening in the IFI to round out the weekend.

District Music Launch: Early
The Grand Social

To celebrate the Launch of District’s newest platform dedicated to Irish music culture, as well as Culture Night we’re hosting two events. The first being an earlier event featuring some of Ireland’s most prominent spoken word artists and rappers. Click here for tickets.

District Music Launch: Late
Farrier and Draper

Re-Peat: The Moss Pit

The Moss Pit is an experimental audiovisual project by youth-led collective re-peat. It is a play-on-words, evoking the act of moshing- a raucous form of dance where people collide with one another until the individuals, though moving separately, can be seen as one entity: the mosh pit; at once, chaotic and in-sync.

Bó Mhór: Exploring Milk Preservation and Cheese Making

Bó Mhór is a collaborative, interdisciplinary project that aims to highlight the importance of food waste within the climate crisis debate, exploring milk preservation as a process of preventing food waste.

IFI: Mystery Screening

Head down to the IFI for a secret screening of a mystery movie. It could be anything, from IFI signature flicks to archive footage documentaries.

Leviathan Cycle Screening 
Earth Rising, IMMA 

Leviathan Cycle  is a multi-episode film series and part of Shezad Dawood’s ground-
breaking leviathan project. It details a post catastrophic world where our society’s actions have resulted in a solar incident and explores how humans now navigate their barren landscape.
