We’re Hosting A Free Panel On How to Break into the Music Industry

Words: Dylan Murphy

We’ve teamed up with Hennessy to nurture and showcase the next generation of talent in Ireland. Each year, we select a class of artists shaping the future and making incredible music as part of a series of videos and editorial. Ahead of the lineup reveal, we’re hosting a live panel discussion with music industry professionals and artists about how you can break through as an aspiring professional.

Even knowing where to start if you want to work in the music industry is challenging. As the landscape is subject to competing technological changes and as social media tightens its grip on well… everything, it’s more overwhelming than ever. However, the flip side is that, to an extent, the playing field has also been democratised by internet. That’s why we’re hosting a transparent conversation about the ins and outs of existing in the industry and how to benefit from the tools at your disposal. The event takes place in The Grand Social on Thursday 14 March. Doors are at 19:00 and the panel kicks off at 19:20.

We’re inviting industry professionals to also share their stories about how they got into working in music and how aspiring artists and professionals can make their mark. Bekah Molony (Manager, Celaviedmai & Negro Impacto, Founder, Mo Cultivation & d07 Artists), Ceri Dixon and Nathan Sauramba (CEO, Waverton Corp) join District on the night.

The panel take place on Thursday, March 14 19:00 – 22:30 at The Grand Social. Tickets are free but extremely limited.

Elsewhere on District: New Albums: ScHoolboy Q, Alex Gough, Chalk & more.
