Westside Gunn drops ‘Pray For Paris’ featuring the most stacked feature list of the year so far

‘327’ sees Tyler, Joey Bada$$ and Westside all go bar for bar.

New York’s Griselda are making waves. They are pushing the trademark East Coast sound ushered in by the greats before them, whilst simultaneously adding their own distinctive flavour. Alvin Lamar Worthy aka Westside Gunn, his brother Conway and Benny The Butcher have been knocking around for a number of years, but in 2017 they signed a deal with Shady Records making Conway and Gunn the first rappers from Buffalo to sign with a major label.

Having performed on Jimmy Fallon’s Saturday Night Live, the trio are rising from the underground to become genuine contenders for hip hop’s coveted crown.

They’ve not went unnoticed by their peers either, with co-signs from Eminem, Nas and Jay-Z they are legitimising the excitement round their sound.

Westside Gunn dropped his album ‘Pray For Paris’ last night and it confirms the admiration from their contemporaries with the project having potentially the most stacked contribution and feature list of the year.

‘Pray For Paris’ sees Gunn link with Tyler, The Creator, Billie Essco and Joey Bada$$ on ‘327’, with Tyler also producing ‘Party With Pop Smoke’. Freddie Gibbs and Roc Marciano feature on The Alchemist-produced ‘$500 Ounces’, Wale and Joyce Wrice makes appearances on ‘French Toast’ too. Westside Gunn and Griselda have set the bar for star-studded albums in 2020 and it may well be an early contender for AOTY.
