District’s first event in over 550 days will be taking place on August 20 in Portobello’s Lock 6.

It’s been a long 18-months since we had a get-together. This rather special little event has been dreamt about and long-wished for, during the never-ending months of isolation.

Finally it’s time to release this soirée out from holy god’s pocket, into the bright lights and surroundings of Dublin City filled with hard seltzer and the tracks we’ve been itching to play to an audience since March 2020.

Taking place in Lock 6, one of the best summer spots for libation, District and friends will be laying down their favourite deep cuts, slow jams and forgotten gems throughout the evening and into the night. The gathering will be in line with government restrictions, and those attending will be expected to mix with the group that they registered with- no funny business now!

Happening on August 20, as part of the White Claw’s Wave of Summer pop-up, attendees will be treated to an evening of us DJing (apologies in advance for the rustiness but it’s been 18 months in fairness), food and a complimentary White Claw Hard Seltzer.

“This event has been a long time coming,” District Director Craig Connolly said, “we are really excited to invite some of our followers to a relatively normal soirée with White Claw.”

District Magazine will be joining the likes of 2FM DJ Tara Stewart and the I’m Grand Mam podcasters, who will be performing at various dates during the immersive pop-up.

Opening from August 18 until September 5, the popup will also house a bespoke installation from Neil Patrick Collins, alongside merch from Chubby Co.

Our gathering will be taking place in the Wave of Summer pop-up on Friday, August 20th, the party will be located in Lock 6 in Dublin 6’s Canal Road.
