Young Irish hip hop producer Marcus Woods shares ‘déjà vu’ beat tape

Marcus Woods has the backing of veteran Irish beatmakers like MathMan, and has been consistently sharing new material this year.

Lo-fi hip hop production in Ireland is stronger than ever.

Artists like Gaptoof and j a r j a r j r have been shining bright, but 2017 saw the sharp rise of one particular producer. 17-year-old Marcus Woods.

Following his debut offering ‘for You’, Clondalkin beatmaker Marcus Woods delivered a wavy project called ‘from time‘, then a surprise project entitled ‘cozy’.

Now he’s released ‘déjà vu’, which according to him is just an appetiser for a new project dropping next month.

“The tape has been in work from January to October, it’s not the main project Im dropping this year however, I’m releasing ‘polychrome’ on the November 24.

“The last year has been amazing, I’ve been able to work with some amazing artists such as Bobby Basil, Luka Palm, M Kay, Leo Miyagee, Flynn Johnson, and having my music played on radio and being promoted as it is is incredible and I’m grateful to have this opportunity as a producer.”
