Zaska releases debut album ‘It Takes A Village’

It’s a proud moment for Max Zaska. After a number of years on the Irish music scene his debut album ‘It Takes A Village’ is finally here.

Zaska has been teasing the album for a couple of months now and we’ve had two singles up to this point. Cannot Will Not’ featuring Loah and Emma Garnett, and more recently ‘It’s Ridiculous’ with Louise Gaffney served as a taster for what was to come, and this morning’s release did not disappoint.

‘It Takes A Village’ is the definition of easy listening. Smooth vocals combine with the type of feel-good jazzy funk we’ve come to expect from a Zaska record.

His propensity for collabs continues throughout the album’s 16 tracks tracks with Barq, Wyvern Lingo and Gypsies On The Autobahn lead singer James Smith featuring, among others.

Smith is credited as executive producer while Zaska took the production reigns. The result is a rich and warm record with near flawless instrumentation.

Zaska will officially launch the release in the Button Factory on February 8. Tickets start from €15 and are on sale now.

‘It Takes A Village’ is streaming on Spotify.
