Dublin’s Fringe festival is one of the most unique occurrences in the Irish calendar. Esoteric events filled with music, comedy, theatre, dance, drag and late-night mischief from the weird and wonderful world of Irish artistry. Here is a chance to see the faces of the figures pushing performing arts forward in Ireland, whilst acknowledging the big questions of housing, community, migration, identity and belonging. Abbey Theatre – Peacock Stage
A combination of the world of Jacobean theatre and the viral world of Irish drill. Drawing on the similarities in tone yet differences in aesthetic, the play stars Irish rappers in the world of the 17th century play ‘The Revenger’s Tragedy’. This includes a completely original score pulling on a full live orchestra and the signature beats of the drill world.

Welcome to “a trans fantasia”. Pea Dinnen adapts 90s pop classics to address subjects such as trans liberation with a playful narrative. Elegant and decadent, we are taken through three decades of history whilst being served a show from a cabaret veteran.

Irish rapper Blue Niall and visual artist St. Diabhal, who has previously worked with Kneecap are blending hip-hop, Irish traditional music, and Celtic illustrations to retell the legend of Tír na nÓg ina truly immersive experience. The work draws parallels between the fantasy land and the struggle of young Irish people emigrating and returning to an Ireland that they no longer recognise.
