In 2021, she was selected for the dearMoon mission, a project which would see seven creatives join a crew to orbit the moon. Adam was selected from over one million applicants and spent over three years training for the journey, which would result in her being the first Irish-born person to travel to space. German photographer, Toby Binder, captured young people in Belfast, focusing on the normality of the diving wall and adolescence in Belfast. The series shows the intergenerational trauma which has been passed down through the troubles, manifesting physically in the modern streets of the city in The North.
Enda Burke – Special K Nun
Galway-based photographer Enda Burke also earned a nomination in the ‘Creative’ category for his work “Special K Nun” – A vibrant juxtaposition between the sanctity of a religious iconography and the absurd.
In nature, Peter Delaney and Tara Keane earned nominations for their respective works.
