Although cosy season has officially begun, you may not want to stay on the couch in front of the TV for the whole month. There are so many incredible gigs this October to go out and see, and we’ve barley scratched the surface here. But these are some of our favourite gigs that we’re looking forward to over the next month.

Arizona rapper Nathaniel Ritchie released his album Triple Digits [112] on April 5. Formerly known as Ritchie with a T, the Injury Reserve/ByStorm rapper is stopping off in Dublin on his European tour. What a better venue to see him in an intimate setting than The Workman’s Cellar.

Soft Launch have officially hard launched themselves on to the UK and Irish scenes in recent months. Having just released their new single along with a video, ‘Milkshake’, they have self proclaimed the track as song of the summer, in October. Having already supported the likes of Declan McKenna, CMAT, they’ve also created quite the buzz with BBC Radio 1, Dork and DIY Mag to name a few.

Ready or not, Lauryn Hill and The Fugees will be in town as part of a major world tour. The five-time Grammy winner is reuniting with The Fugees who will be co-headlining ‘The Miseducation Anniversary Tour’ to honour the iconic album.

The Last Dinner Part’y’s sold-out UK and Ireland headline tour is set to continue on Monday October 7. This tour is in support of their Mercury Prize nominated album ‘Prelude To Ecstasy’ of this year. Having recently won both the BBC Radio 1 Sound of 2024 and the BRIT Rising Star Award, this tour will close their whirlwind introductory chapter.

Mater Peace has demonstrated How To Make A Master Peace before he visits Dublin this month, which is exactly what his album is called. Starting October, he is set to embark on a comprehensive tour across the UK and EU showcasing material from this debut album.

Definitely don’t sleep on these lads, because their groove driven tunes are infectious. Aside from playing their headline gig in The Button Factory, the quartet will be playing Ireland Music Week this Thursday.

St. Vincent’s UK and EU tour is kicking off in Dublin. Her seventh album All Born Screaming was released in April and features contributions from the likes of Dave Grohl and Cate Le Bon. This All Born Screaming tour is set to showcase the material from her new album which is effortlessly innovative, stepping into a new sound.

Contemporary R&B superstar PartyNextDoor is coming to Dublin as part of his UK and EU ‘PARTYNEXTDOOR: Sorry I’m Outside Tour’. Having released his long awaited album PARTYNEXTDOOR P4 in April, this marks the Ontario-based artist’s first tour since 2018.

Shiv’s debut album Defiance Of A Sad Girl will hit streaming platforms on October 17th, and to showcase her work, she will take the stage at The Sugar Club. Dubbed to be joined by some musical peers on stage on the night, this will no doubt be a powerful performance.

Ethereal vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Rachael Lavelle will be taking The Button Factory stage this October 23. Her Choice-Prize nominated album Big Dream’s has quickly seen her rise to prominence in the Irish music scene, and deservedly so.

Guinness Cork Jazz festival will showcase various acts from Ireland and beyond. Amongst these, will be Gregory Porter, Seun Kuti, Buena Vista All Stars, De La Soul, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Maya Delilah and more. The headline venues include Cork Opera House, The Everyman, Live at St. Luke’s, Triskel, Cyprus Avenue, Kino, and Cork City Hall.

After nearly 20 years since their last release, the British Alt-rock band bôa have returned with their new single ‘Walk With Me’. Also, since a resurfacing of their track ‘Duvet’ has emerged online, their track has been soundtracked by nearly 300,000 videos and gathered over 450M streams.

Leicester rapper Sainté has a sound that undeniably gives us a West coast feel. Having released his first EP Local MVP, he is one of the most exciting acts to have launched on the UK’s fierce rap scene. His viral single ‘Champagne Shots’ exploded while he was still working at Nando’s, and over 300millions streams later, he embarks on his UK and EU tour.

Dublin will be the first stop of Ice Spice’s ‘Y2K!’ UK and EU tour. This marks the release of her recent debut album Y2K! The multi-platinum selling and Grammy-nominated rapper will bring her Bronx baddie energy to the Dublin stage on October 29.

Known for his jazz, R&B, soul influences, his captivating crowd interaction and impressive multi-instrumental talent, Jacob Collier will grace The 3Olympia stage on October 30. Following the release of his latest studio album DJESSE Vol.4, the fourth part of the DJESSE quadrology, the London-born singer songwriter is also known for his contributions to successful singles from Sza, Lizzy McAlpine and Kelhani to name a few.
