Aswell & Mankyy appear in part three of ‘Somewhere in Ireland’

Ever wonder what it would be like if Odd Future had a member from the West of Ireland?

This time last year MC and production duo Aswell and Mankyy dropped a surprise collection of tracks entitled ‘ambiguous’. It was a solid project to kickstart their year and they’ve since established themselves as one of Limerick’s finest hip hop exports.

The first track on the release, ‘Hello Kitty’, now has a new video and it’s part of the innovative ‘Somewhere in Ireland’ series.

The collection of videos is a new concept by director and animator Jack O’Flynn, AKA Brownsauce, in which he takes a fresh look at the idea of a music video. The first edition featured Limerick rap hero Hazey, followed by part two with Huva, Chili and Ganiyu.

After a successful Limerick premiere, the crew are now screening the project in Dublin at Fibber Magees on February 7 with a host of artists performing. Click here to be at the premiere.
