Dena Anuk$a links up with Belfast rapper Nxstalgic on new track

We were first introduced to Dena Anuk$a as a DJ when she played a banging set at our New Year’s Eve party a couple of months ago as part of the GXRLCODE crew. However, she has many more strings to her bow.

Citing influences like Goldlink, Tyler the Creator and Chance the Rapper, the MC and vocalist looks set to become one of the most unique rappers in Ireland. She now lives in Belfast, but spent her formative years in Jersey, Saudi Arabia, Alexandria, and finally heading to Newcastle for university.

Nxstalgic and Dena are both are under the same management crew, Nxgen Music Group, so it seemed the stars would always eventually align for a track like this.

“We both are big fans of J Cole and have similar rap styles so decided to collab with each other a few months ago. I came across this beat on Youtube and knew it would work because of the soulful old school feel that I was looking for. Track was mixed and mastered by me and we both wrote our parts individually.”

Dena just got announced for the 2019 edition of New Voices at The GPO on May 17 alongside artists like Nealo, Leo Miyagee, Amshwa, Sea High and a couple of big surprises. Click here for more.
