Dún Laoghaire Baths seeks artists for rent-free studios

Six awards are currently available to support local artists with rent-free, purpose-built artist workspaces and project funding.
Following the redevelopment and relaunch of Dún Laoghaire Baths, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is now calling for artists to apply for new art workspaces.
The new opportunities are being funded by the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Arts Office, the Arts Council, Creative Ireland and the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
The Council’s Arts Development Plan has identified the lack of accessible artist workspaces as the key barrier to artists’ career progression in the area.
The studio complex at Dún Laoghaire Baths, with additional funding awards, seeks to address this challenge and support the career of local artists through residencies lasting three months to a year.
There are three different programmes available to artists: the Baths Arts Residency, the Baths Public Art Commission and the Baths Artist Studio Application.
Applications for the workspace must come from artists who are living in, working in, from or studied in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.
The deadline for all applications is Friday, February 3 at 12:00.
