Words: Dylan Murphy
The Belfast-based rapper is keeping his momentum going with an uplifting new cut.
In the past 18 months and in the absence of having people to lean on in a socially distanced world, we’ve all had to learn to go a little easier on ourselves. Keeping tabs on your inner voice can be difficult, but Belfast rapper EMBY is learning to celebrate his wins in ‘Self Love’.
Opening with a reminder to love yourself, the spitter quickly follows with his trademark flow with his words hitting like a snare as he weaves through a series of realisations.
Featuring transient production from Eulogy Beats, it’s the third single from EMBY and it lands ahead of his performance at AVA Festival in Belfast in September.
Elsewhere, EMBY collaborated with Bitten Twice Collective producer Rory Sweeney on ‘Two Faces’ earlier this year.
