Hen’s Teeth to host their first Bazaar at new Blackpitts location this December

Featuring numerous Irish based traders, the new Bazaar will play host to a huge amount of Irish creatives and goods.

The festive period is upon us and there’s never a shortage of options to explore when wanting to aimlessly wander around tinsel-laden spaces. However there’s a new Bazaar on its way courtesy of Hen’s Teeth.

They recently relocated to a new Blackpitts space and this December 30 independent traders and makers will take part over 3 weekends.

There’s a wide variety of art, crafts and apparel on display including illustrations of Ruan Van Gillet and artwork from SUBSET

A series of make your own gift workshops will also take place across each weekend, including wreath making with Tjikko Floral, riso printing with Or Studio, macrame from Studio Folklore and the craft of head wraps with Turbante.

Following the unfortunate closure of Dublin’s flea market, the new Bazaar operating in December will act as a small, temporary replacement for the wonderful work that the flea market did. Simultaneously opening up a conversation on the need for more sustainable and local Christmas shopping in a time where there’s a very evident lack of cultural spaces for events like this.

Speaking about hosting the bazaar, Hen’s Teeth founder Greg Spring said: “It’s important to us that we can offer part of our new space up to some of the local creative heads in the city. It means a lot to us to be able to do that.”

Co-founder Magnus Mudrack followed this by saying, “In the digital age we are drowned in images, with the rest of our senses starved. Bazaar markets are a full sensory experience, we find traders who lovingly craft their goods and all your senses help decide if you have fallen in love with that jumper, print, bar of soap or the many other goods.”
