Here’s How You Can Win the Opportunity to DJ at Beyond The Pale

CUPRA’S ‘On The Pulse’ competition is a no nonsense process to uncover Ireland’s next rising DJ, with the winner earning a cash prize and a slot on the lineup of one of the country’s biggest festivals.

The last 24 months have been record breaking for Irish producers and DJs. Blk., Bicep and Belters Only have sold out the 3Arena and Jazzy became the first Irish female artist to hit No.1 on the Spotify Ireland Top 50. Elsewhere, after rising through the lineup over the years, OR:LA and Sally C had a full circle moment when they headlined AVA’s main stage in Belfast last year. What we’re trying to say is, despite the obvious obstacles, DJs and producers are constantly breaking glass ceilings.

For any heads who have attended Primavera Sound in Barcelona, you’ve no doubt seen or attended the CUPRA Boiler Room stage that’s hosted the likes of Kenny Beats and more. One of Ireland’s fastest growing car brands, they’ve since partnered with The 3Arena, so it makes sense that they’re now directing their attention towards Irish talent. They’ve teamed up with Beyond The Pale to uncover the next generation of talent as part of their ‘On The Pulse’ competition.

As part of the process, applicants showcase their skills in a 30 minute mix before five finalists are chosen to perform live in Yamamori Tengu in Dublin. The winner receives a cash prize of €2,500 to develop their career and a slot on the lineup alongside the likes of Marc Rebillet, Soulwax, Richie Hawtin, David Holmes and more at Beyond The Pale Music & Arts Festival this summer.
