Madlib and Four Tet reveal the details of their new album

Words: Dylan Murphy

The pair have joined forces for Sound Ancestors and last night they shared the full track list and release date.

Last year, Four Tet revealed on a livestream that he and legendary producer Madlib were working on an album together and it was nearly ready.

They swiftly followed up the comments with the release of ‘Road Of The Lonely Ones’ and revealed the title of the forthcoming project – Sound Ancestors.

Earlier this month, they shared another song ‘Hopprock’ and last night they revealed the track list and release date. Sound Ancestors will arrive via Madlib’s label Madlib Invazion. Four Tet noted that he put together the album from “hundreds of pieces of music” that Madlib sent him over a period of two years.
