SELLO, Monjola, Khakikid and more join Other Voices line-up

Words: Eva O’Beirne, Ellen Kenny

Other Voices have announced over 30 brand-new acts joining their musical pilgrimage to West Kerry this December alongside their ‘Banter’ and IMRO Other Room line-ups.

Other Voices is back with their Music Trail, bringing some of the best talent in Ireland today to West Kerry for another intimate weekend. From December 2 to December 4 in Dingle, audiences can expect a genre-defying time capsule of the musical landscape of the last year.

Acts announced so far include indie rock charmers Banríon, emerging artist Efé, and Bobbi Arlo, another newcomer on Ireland’s pop scene.

Today, Other Voices announced over 30 additions to their Music Trail line-up including some of Ireland’s most exciting up-and-coming talent such as Khakikid, Monjola, Emby and Skinner.

Performing at the IMRO Other Room stage this year is District’s November Cover Artist SELLÓ, soulful hip-hop band Bricknasty, Kynsy and Pa Sheehy.

Along with the new acts announced, Other Voices have announced their lineup for Banter, a series of interviews over the weekend with some of the most interesting people in Ireland today.

In conversation with music journalist Jim Carroll, this year’s Banter will feature Rory Hearne, housing expert and author of GAFFS and Louise McSharry writer, broadcaster and host of the Catch Up with Louise McSharry. Others on the lineup include Colm Bairéad, director of “An Cailín Ciúin”, singer-songwriter Sorcha Richardson along with actress Eve Hewson, and Edwina Guckian choreographer and cultural producer.

Taking place in the Foxy John, Banter figures out what makes these trailblazers tick and how they ended up as leaders and innovators in their field.

These announcements also came with a warning from Other Voices that their weekend wristbands are running low. For more ticket information, click here.
