Soulé returns with first single from her forthcoming EP

“I was inspired by relationships around me and toxic relationships I’ve witnessed…”

Soulé burst onto the Irish music scene in autumn 2016 with a sound that the country was crying out for, a sound that had become popular across the Irish Sea.

Love No More’ was a teaser of the talent the Dublin artist had, a track she followed up with ‘Troublemaker’ and ‘What Do You Know’, both of which going on to garner millions of streams and getting plays on BBC 1Xtra, RTE 2FM and Today FM.

It’s music for the discerning pop fan and now she’s back with the first single from her forthcoming debut EP on DFL Records.

“’Don’t hold your breath’ was very easy and was written and recorded all in one day,” Soulé admits. “I was inspired by relationships around me and toxic relationships I’ve witnessed or been in myself. I wanted to write a song about the back and forth of relationships when things turn sour or when the ‘honeymoon stage’ dies down. I wanted the lyrics to be simple but still deep and meaningful enough for listeners to relate to. I’m so proud of how it turned out.”
