This is my comeback hatch: 147 Deli returns

By Emily Mullen

“DON’T CALL IT A COMEBACK!!……… It’s totally a comeback”

The Parnell Street sambo purveyors are back. The 147 Deli announced their return to service by sharing a handwritten shopping list to Instagram. Fans have been scratching their heads trying to piece together their 147 Deli menu favorites from the list, (1kg of leeks makes a Reuben right?). All will be revealed on March 22 when the hatch is opened once more.

Closed for over three months, the deli has flagged that they might be a little rusty and has asked customers to “go easy on us”. Acknowledging what a “massive pain up between the cheeks of our arse with all this” the representative urged hatch-goers to “PLEASE social distance and wear a mask”.

Owner of 147 Deli, Barry Stephens hasn’t been resting on his sarnie laurels, so far this year he has launched Just Chubbys an American-style food truck, bringing fried chicken and burgers to Ringsend.
