District Magazine x Smirnoff Sound Nation — Electric Picnic 2025 Competition Terms & Conditions

Promoter

This competition is run by District Magazine in partnership with Smirnoff Ireland.

Eligibility

• Open to residents of the Republic of Ireland aged 18 or over.
• Entrants must be part of a creative collective (minimum of 2 members) operating in music, arts, performance, or wider cultural disciplines.
• Proof of age and identity may be required prior to prize fulfillment.
• Employees of the Promoter and its affiliate companies, their families and anyone deemed to be professionally involved with or connected to the Promotion are not permitted to enter the Promotion.

How to Enter

This competition is free to enter.

To enter, collectives must complete the official entry form on District Magazine’s competition page.

Entries must include:

• A short description of the collective and its creative work.
• Relevant links to previous work (e.g. music, performance clips, portfolio, social channels).
• Contact details for at least one representative of the collective.

Only one entry per collective will be considered.

Prize

• One winning collective will be selected to perform at the Smirnoff Sound Nation Stage at Electric Picnic 2025, taking place 29th–31st August 2025.
• The prize includes:
  • A performance slot on the Smirnoff Sound Nation Stage (date, time, and format to be confirmed in consultation with the winners).
  • Weekend festival tickets for each member of the collective.
  • Accommodation for the duration of Electric Picnic 2025.
• Travel to and from the festival site is not included.

Winner Selection

• The winning collective will be chosen by a panel of District Magazine, Smirnoff representatives and an independent judge.
• Selection will be based on creativity, originality, cultural relevance, and suitability for the Smirnoff Sound Nation stage.
• The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Competition Deadline

• Entries open at Thursday July 31st and close at Sunday August 10th at 11.59pm..
• The winning collective will be contacted by Tuesday August 12th using the contact details provided.
• If the selected winner cannot be reached within 72 hours of contact, an alternative winner may be chosen.

Additional Conditions

• By entering, participants consent to District Magazine and Smirnoff using submitted materials for promotional purposes across social, digital, and event content.
• The winning collective must be available to perform at Electric Picnic on the agreed date and time — no cash or alternative prize will be offered.
• District Magazine and Smirnoff reserve the right to disqualify any entrants who breach these terms or provide false information.

Liability

• District Magazine, Smirnoff, and associated partners accept no responsibility for loss, injury, or damages incurred by participants in connection with this competition or the prize awarded.
• Participation is at the entrants' own risk.

Data Protection

• Personal data collected will only be used to administer the competition and deliver the prize. Data will not be shared with third parties except where necessary for the prize arrangement.

Governing Law

• These terms are governed by Irish law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
