The Big Grill announces lineup and debuts the Rancho Relaxo area

Big Grill BBQ & Food Festival announced its most extensive lineup of chefs and restaurants today. The festival will take place from August 11 to 14. They also announced an exclusive ‘Rancho Relaxo’ area.

The topline billing is an exclusive pop-up from Andy Ricker’s famous Pok Pok. Ricker had closed his Northern Thai-inspired Pok Pok empire in 2020. Making it all the more exciting that he’s reigniting it for The Big Grill this year. He’ll serve selections of Isaan-style dishes on Saturday hosting an Offside dinner on Sunday 14.

Homegrown talent includes Reggie’s Pizza Party, Damien Grey’s 2 Michelin starred Liath, Aishling Moore from Goldie in Cork, Mister S, Reyna, Hang Dai, Chimac, Bahay, AA’s Caribbean, B-Skewers, and Los Chicanos

The Rancho Relaxo garden will feature a private bar, fire pits, guaranteed seating, DJs, garden games, posh loos and two complimentary drinks on arrival. You’ll also get fast-track entry to the festival via the dedicated Rancho Relaxo lane.

The international Big Grill lineup includes Chris Lilly and the Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q Competition Cooking Team, winners of 17 World BBQ Championships; London’s From The Ashes BBQ, Billy Durney’s Hometown Bar-B-Que from Brooklyn, NYC and many more.

Vegans and vegetarians will be pleased to hear that the Big Grill lineup features Neil Rankin’s new plant-based venture Symplicity Foods, will feature. Rankin took to the kitchen to develop a new form of plant-based meat that is supposedly better than Beyond Meat. So far, he has made burgers, schnitzel and sausages.

The festival is back in its home, in Herbert Park, Dublin 4, for the 5th year in a row. Tickets start at twenty-four euros, and Rancho Relaxo begins at fifty; both are on sale now.
